April Favorites

Looking back at this month, it felt so long. At the same time, I can't believe we are already done with 1/3 of the year! I finished classes for my second semester of college on Tuesday. I still have finals though, but my last one is on May 7, so I only have one more week and then I'm free.

This month, I couldn't think of many of my favorites. It felt like such a long month, so I can't remember if there were things I liked at the beginning of the month. This is what I came up with though:

1. 7 Ways to Bare from bareMinerals
  • I used this throughout the month whenever I didn't want to use my Too Faced Cat Eyes palette. It doesn't have many sparkly colors, and is on the neutral side which comes in handy when I'm just dressed super casual.
2. St. Ives Body Wash - Nourishing Vanilla
  • This body wash smells really nice and it makes me think "soft and warm" when I use it. It has a nice soothing scent and I think helps my skin feel softer.
3. Skinnygirl Popcorn - Butter & Sea Salt
  • I picked this up when I was at the commissary with my boyfriend at the beginning of the month. It comes in small packages and in a good serving size. It's great to snack on in the afternoon.
4. Brazil Pineapple Punch Gentle Foaming Hand Soap from Bath & Body Works
  • This soap smells like "juicy pineapple, ice melon, and spice." I really like the smell of this soap, it reminded me of summer and smells tasty, hehe.
5. St. Ives Energizing Citrus & Vitamin C Fresh Hydration Lotion
  • I hate applying lotion because I don't like the feeling of it on my hands, but I bought this spray a couple months ago and finally decided to get back into using it since it's skirts and shorts weather, haha. The smell is so refreshing and smells great. It has a strong grapefruit smell, so I recommend this if you like grapefruits.

This month, I loved making my green tea chia drink (I will make a post about it soon) and the smell of frosting.

My favorite TV series to watch on Netflix this month was:
  • Man V. Food - the new season was put up on Netflix this month and so I had to watch it. All the places he goes makes me want to go there too, it looks so good. Does anyone else watch this show?
  • Food Network Star - there's only two seasons on Netflix and each season only took me about 24 hours to finish. If you don't know, this show is a competition on finding the new Food Network star. I really liked watching this show because it was interesting and had funny moments. I can't wait for more seasons.
I hope you enjoyed my favorites for the month! Let me know what your favorites were for the month down below. ~

Dave's 20th Birthday Cont.

Last week was my boyfriend's birthday week! We hang out every Friday and Saturday was our 41 months, so it just added onto his birthday week. I also decided after this spring semester ends, I'm going to blog about every Friday and what we do, eat, etc. Would any of you be interested?

After we both came back home from classes, we accidentally fell asleep and ended up taking a nap. We then went shopping. I got a few cute things that I will be making a post for at the end of the month, so stay tuned!

The weather was nice that I could finally break out my spring wardrobe. If any of you can notice, I cut my hair!

We then went mini-golfing. It was my first time and I didn't do so good at first.

Everything that was white would glow because of the lighting.

Mine was the pink ball and his was I think yellow.

This was one of the courses.

In the end, he ended up beating me by just a few.

We then got dinner at this place my mom told me about a while ago because one of her patient's family owns it. This was the calamari we got. It was a little salty, but we were supposed to go for the pizza lol.

The pizza we got was so good, I ate the leftovers the next morning for breakfast. The chicken parmesan, I wasn't that impressed with. I like the spaghetti and sauce, but not the chicken.

The next day, it was our 41 months so we went out to lunch. Since it was his birthday week, I let him choose where we ate.
We went to this tiny Mexican restaurant and got burritos. I got a "California burrito." I thad french fries in it, which I never had in a burrito before. It was pretty okay, but I couldn't finish it. The chicken taco I go twas really good though.

We then went to return some stuff I bought, then went to the park to see my little cousins, then we had to return something for my dad, and then went to Target to get more cream cheese frosting. Once we got back home, we watched Netflix, got ready to go to dinner, and I finished decorating his cake. We were going to go to Yard House, but he didn't know I planned a surprise dinner with our friends.

This is what I wore that night! I forgot to add this in my March Shopping Haul post.

He told me he was surprised when he walked in! He saw see me sitting at a table with our friends, but because it was dark inside, he didn't know who they were when he first walked in. (He dropped me off so I could go in and get a table because we knew the wait would be long, but my friends were already there.)

This was the food we got and it was so good!! We got coconut shrimp (those shrimp were huge) and truffle fries as our appetizers. Then for our main course, we got mac and cheese and a chicken torta. Then we sang him happy birthday and ate cake. It was a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and dark chocolate chips, with reese's peanut butter chips and dark chocolate chips on top.

This was taken on the roof where my boyfriend parked.

In the end, it was a successful surprise dinner and a great week celebrating Dave's 20th birthday. I can't wait for more birthday celebrations with him and our friends. Thank you to everyone who came to dinner and wished him a happy birthday!

Dave's 20th Birthday

Last Tuesday was my boyfriend's 20th birthday! He came over after his morning classes and the first thing we did was open presents.

I got him a pair of Jack Purcells, a Stussy Wallet, a charger, a blender, and a cute card. My mom got him the socks and the reese's pieces came from my brother's Easter basket, haha. One of the things didn't come in the mail until after we opened the gifts.

He then went to class and I decided to skip mine so I just stayed at home finishing a paper I had for my English class.

When he came back, we watched some Netflix and then got ready to eat dinner with his family. This was my outfit!

We went to a place called Chow. I didn't expect my plate to come with 3 pieces of chicken! Haha. In my opinion, the sides him and I ordered tastes better than the main course. But nonetheless, it was a good dinner.

This was us at dinner.
Overall, it was another day spent well with my very best friend. This was the fourth birthday I got to spend with him and it was amazing to see how fast time flew by. He's no longer a teenager and it just makes me realize that we really are growing up. I love you, babe!!

Buying + Selling Apps: Check it out!

I sell on three apps called Vinted, Mercari, and Poshmark. I've been selling on Vinted for over a year and I started using Mercari for about over a month now. I don't really use Poshmark much, I just get the people on their to buy from my Mercari account, haha.

1. Vinted
I've made 91 sales up to today and have made hundreds of dollars within less than a year. I love selling and buying on this app. It's also a website if you can't download it on your phone!

Vinted is the one I trust the most out of the three apps. The moderators are usually really helpful if anything goes wrong. It's a great selling app with reasonable shipping prices! They also take a profit out when you make a sale.

If you sign up with this code, you get $5 credit. - 3U5P8L

2. Mercari
I've only made a few sales on here, but I make a lot more than I would from Vinted because they don't take out a profit when you make a sale.

You can sell almost anything on this app, which is awesome! You can find makeup, electronics, and more.

My account name is @marikamera , but you can't look up people buy their username, only by the items they are selling.

If you sign up with this code, you get $2 credit. - MPZTCZ

3. Poshmark
I don't really use this app much, but when someone is interested in something I have, I just get them to buy it on Mercari because I'm selling it cheaper on there.

Poshmark takes a profit out of your sales, as well. People who sell on here have more high-end items, but I still sell whatever, haha.
