Lush Review: Wizard Bubble Bar

I got the Wizard bubble bar from my boyfriend for my birthday back in October. It was part of Lush's Halloween items, so if you end up wanting to get this after reading this review, make sure to get it while you can this fall.

It's pinkish-purple with sparkles in it and it so cute. It smells nice and is great for Halloween. When I first saw this, I knew I had to have it because it was so cute. It has tangerine, juniper-berry, and fennel oils in it, which leaves a nice relaxing smell.

The wizard bubble bar is a fun bubble bar anyone could enjoy. The glitter does't fall off and stick too much, before and after the bath. There's also little golden stars once you start breaking the bubble bar apart and it leaves your bath looking so cute.

I kind of started crumbling the bubble bar a little too late, so the bubbles weren't super bubbly which I got mad at myself about lol. It's okay, I'll get it right next time. As you can see in the picture, it leaves the water looking purple which was really pretty.

The wizard bubble bar has a nice smell and you could probably use it twice. It looks really pretty with the purple water, silver sparkles, and little gold stars. After my bath, my skin felt soft, I smelled good, and I sparkled a little. I would recommend this to anyone and would buy it again.

♡ Tag: Valentine's Day ♡

I saw this cute little Valentine's day tag on Payton's blog the other day and wanted to do it for myself. I know Valentine's day was yesterday which makes this late, but the questions are cute so it's okay and it was yesterday anyways, hehe.

1. What is your favorite Valentine's Day treat?
I don't have a favorite Valentine's Day treat, but I would like ice-cream, chocolate covered strawberries, a crepe, or gelato.

2. Sweethearts or chocolate covered strawberries?
Chocolate covered strawberries. I love dark chocolate covered strawberries.

3. What was your favorite Valentine's Day memory?
Valentine's Day of 2014. My boyfriend picked me up from school with a big balloon and a white rose in the car. We hanged out for a while at my house and then went to dinner at Panera with my aunt and younger cousin. Then we went to The Royal Chocolate and had fondue.
There's more about that day on this post if you're interested.

4. What movie would you rather watch on Valentine's Day: Pretty Woman or You've Got Mail?
You've Got Mail. I don't think I have watched both movies in their entirety, but I think "You've Got Mail" is more of my kind of movie. I think I should try watching the whole thing sometime soon.

5. What celeb would you not mind having as your Valentine?
Calum Hood or Joseph Gordon-Levitt or Niall Horan.

6. What would you do on your perfect Valentine's date?
My perfect Valentine's date.. I would want to wake up to breakfast in bed with flowers. We would eat breakfast together and exchange gifts and then get ready for the day. Then we could go on a walk somewhere nice or go sight-seeing. Then we would go to a cute cafe for lunch. Then whatever my valentine would like to do and take pictures. Then we would go to a fancy candle-lit dinner, then eat dessert, and dance somewhere romantic. Then we would end the night by looking at the stars.

7. Red or pink lips on Valentines Day?
I think pink. I did pink this year. It's subtle and cute, but it would have to depend on the outfit.

8. What is your ideal Valentine's Day date outfit?
If the weather wasn't so cold, I would like to wear a pastel pink dress with stockings and cute black shoes to match. A white fluffy cardigan on top and a bow in my hair and a black bag. And jewelry of course.

9. Homemade or store-bought gifts?
I like both.

10. Would you wear your hair up or hair down for a date night?
I would wear it down, just because I think it looks better when I dress up.

I tag anyone who feels like doing this!

♡ Valentine's Day ♡

Valentine's Day was yesterday and I hope you had a great one! This year, it was on Saturday, which was nice because that meant there was no school and there was more time to spend with my valentine. I spent the day with my boyfriend and it was our 4th Valentine's Day together.

The past 3 Valentine's day, I've asked him to be my valentine, and so I told him this year I wasn't going to ask him and then he asked me last Friday. I opened my door and saw something big and dark floating and I said, "Oh my god." I didn't know what it was until I turned the light on. It was such a lovely surprise.

We started the day off with exchanging gifts. My valentine got me one of my favorite movies, a mask from Lush that I have been wanting for so long, and a 2-pack of moleskin notebooks. Thank you, babe!

We then went to Bahama Breeze for lunch. We were going to try an Italian restaurant we've never been to, but I just wasn't craving it and then became kinda indecisive so I told him to choose wherever he wanted to go. I got the same thing I got last time I went, but it was still so good.

The screen had a scene of Mario swimming under water so I was trying to make it look like I was swimming, lol.
After lunch, we went to the Chrysler Museum of Art. About a month ago, I checked what exhibits were going to be there and it said that in February, they would have "The Art of Video Games" exhibit.

They had a lot of different games we could play on classic game systems. We played Mario on the nintendo controller. It was really cool! We also got to play the new Super Smash Bros on the Wii U they had.

They had displays of a lot of the game consoles that have been around from the beginning.

Then there was a station where we could draw our favorite video game character.

I drew Ness because he's my favorite Super Smash character and my boyfriend drew ditto because it was just something easy he could think of, lol.

Someone drew this really cute Link, haha.

After we were done with the video games exhibit, we headed upstairs. On our 2.5 year anniversary, we went to this museum and only had time to look through the downstair exhibits. This time, we had time to go through the whole upstairs. This was one of my favorite pieces of art. I loved the colors.

My boyfriend likes to take my camera out when we go out sometimes, haha. This was a Keith Haring picture.

This eyeball projected onto the ball was moving.

This was my outfit for the day. I wore the dress I wore on Halloween which is a floral lace dress. I wore leggings underneath because it was really cold with floral lace trimmed socks and brown combat boots. I wore a maroon cardigan on top. I also had my American Apparel bag and hair bow on, along with my Daniel Wellington watch.

These are just a few more pictures we took at the museum.

After the museum, we went to the store to get some food. We went home and my mom helped us make chicken parmesan spaghetti with zucchinis and buffalo chicken pizza. We ate our dinner in bed while watching Parks and Recreation.

I know this post was kind of lengthy, so thanks for reading! I'd love to hear about your Valentine's day down below.

DIY: Date Ideas ♡

The last week of January, I made two date ideas for my boyfriend and I.  Ever since we met, we have spent almost every Friday together. Friday are "our days" and that's where we spend the time after class, till the end of the day together. I see him Monday through Friday, but rarely on the weekends because he's busy with his family or homework, so Fridays are special to us.

This is the "date jar." My boyfriend bought me a pack of popsicle cards and on them, I wrote down different ideas for dates. I put them in a mason jar and tied some twine into a ribbon. (The ribbon looks very sad in this picture, haha.) We do rock-paper-scissors, and the winner gets to choose 3 sticks out of the jar and chooses which one of the 3 they want to do.

I took different color sharpies and dotted the ends of each stick so they wouldn't look so boring.

Sorry the picture came out dark, I didn't bother to turn the light on.
Whenever one of thinks of a new idea for a date, we add it into the jar. This is what we have so far:
  • Arts and crafts
  • Beach date
  • Book store date
  • Breakfast in bed
  • Cafe date
  • Dave's choice
  • Dave makes dinner
  • Dessert only date
  • Dinner date (Idk why I wrote this because we always eat dinner together, haha.)
  • Explore
  • Game night
  • Grocery date
  • Hiking date
  • Indoor Picnic
  • Mini gold
  • Marika's choice
  • Marika makes dinner
  • Movie date
  • Museum date
  • Out of town date
  • Picnic
The date jar is easy to make and a fun way to decide what you are going to do if you can't figure it out for yourself! You can take my ideas and/or add some of your own and do this with your significant other, a friend, or your family.

Sorry for that piece of hair, lol.
This is the "Where should we eat?!" container. In January of 2014, my boyfriend and I made a list of all the places we wanted to eat for the entire year so we could try something new each week. We completed that list and made a new one for 2015.

I just put it in this plastic container that his mom gave me a while ago.

I took different colored sharpies and wrote down all the places we wanted to try for this year. Whoever is the winner for the date jar gets to choose where we eat for dinner too. (Unless the other person really doesn't want to eat there, hehe.)

Let me know down below if you liked this and are planning to do one or the other of the DIYs.
