❄ January Favorites ❄

I can't believe it's already been 31 days of the 365. This month went by ridiculously fast, which scares me for how fast this year is going to go by. This month, I started my second semester of college. So far, it's been really relaxed and my classes seem pretty okay. It's only been three weeks and I'm starting to stress out, but hopefully I can stay calm and keep everything under control.

1. Rishi Organic Green Tea - Match Super Green from The Fresh Market
  • Towards the end of this month, I went back to drinking green tea again. I drink this tea almost every morning. It's really good and I recommend this if you like drinking matcha.
2. Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo & Moisturizing Rinse
  • For the new year, I dyed parts of my hair purple and this stuff worked nicely with my hair. I bought this back in November, but I never used it. I mix my shampoo and conditioners, so I'm not sure if this is the reason why, but I used this one time in the shower and I didn't have to wash my hair until 3 days later. My hair didn't smell and my scalp didn't itch - it was amazing. My hair was still soft too.
3. SINNLIG Scented Candle In Glass - Sweet Berries from IKEA
  • I've had this candle since the summer, and it still smells good. It smells like strawberries and I love strawberries, haha. Instead of lighting my candle, I place it on a candle burner. I started using this candle again this month and sometimes I would lay in bed and forget I left my candle burner on and I would think, "Wow, why does it smell good?" Haha.
4. Rouge Cream Lipstick - Mmmm...17 from Sephora
  • I got this from my aunt for Christmas. I picked it out when I went to Sephora with her and I love this color. It's the perfect subtle pink and it's super creamy.
5. Pink Mechanical Pencil from Japan
  • At the beginning of 2013, my aunt in Japan got me one of these pencils in green and my boyfriend ended up bending a piece, which made me not want it anymore. I asked her for another one and she sent me 2 this past Christmas - these are my favorite pencils ever. I'm using the pink one currently and it's the only pencil I use for school.
6. Post-it Notes 3x3 Cubes, Ultra Color from Walmart
  • These post-its are the best, haha. I use them to write down everything when I'm at my desk.
7. Spotify
  • I started using this the last week of the month and I now have this on my MacBook and my phone. I really, really like this app. It's great for music and I recommend it to anyone.

This month, I loved my olive green fleece lined jacket. I would just throw it on when I needed to bundle up for the cold.

My favorite TV series to watch on Netflix this month was:
  • Man V. Food - watching this show made me want to travel across the country to eat at all the places he went to.
  • Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives - this show made me crave whatever he was eating when I thought it looked super good, haha. It was cool that he went to places in my city.
I hope you enjoyed my favorites for the month! Let me know what your favorites were for the month down below. ~

Japan Haul x2

Recently, I got two "packages" from Japan. I'm half Japanese and so my mom's side of the family lives there. They send my family and I packages a few times throughout the year. At the end of December, I got my Christmas presents from my aunt and then towards the end of January, my mom brought me back a lot of things from when she went to Japan. I was envious that my mom got to go to Japan because I've been wanting to go back, but I knew she deserved it because she hadn't seen her family for over 12 and a half years, but I got to go back to Japan 6 and a half years ago. Anyways, I just wanted to share what I got. (If anything looks good, I think you can find some of the things online!)

This is what I got from my aunt for my Christmas present. I love my rilakkuma bear!

These were the snacks my mom and I got.

These were my gifts from my aunt. I love the socks and she got me my favorite pencils.

This was a light-up korilakkuma keychain she got me from a ガッチャガチャ.

This is what my uncle got me. He knows me so well, haha. He also got me a fountain pen.

This is what I got from my aunt. I've worn the plaid jacket and used the A.P.C. bag already and I love it! I'm excited to wear the other things and use the rilakkuma film.

These are things I got from my mom and grandpa. I'm excited to use the Starbucks mug from Tokyo. (I'll also do reviews on a few things in the future.)

These were tissue packs I got from my god-mom.

These were things from my lovely grandma.

That's most of my haul. :-) Thanks for reading! If you have any questions, feel free to leave them below!

Tony Moly KISS KISS Lip Essence Balm Review

Hi, everyone! It's been a while since I've last posted, I'm sorry. My spring semester started 2 weeks ago and I was sick for most of last week. I haven't gotten sick like that in such a long time, but I'm back to normal now. Although this is only the start of the third week of the semester, I'm already ready for it to be summer break. I'm hoping it snows tonight/tomorrow morning so class is cancelled.

On my Black Friday post, I mentioned that I purchased the Tony Moly KISS KISS Lip Essence Balm. It retailed for $8, but I only paid $1 for it. How could I not get it? Haha.

The lip balm comes in the shape of red lips.

When I twisted the cap off, there was a thin plastic cover on the top. (I still leave it there.) The lip balm leaves no color on to your lips and is kind of a clear color. It doesn't have a strong smell, which is kind of nice. I can't describe the smell of it, but if I had to try, I would say it smells like lotion or a really faint apple & cinnamon scent. I like applying this to my lips in the morning when I'm getting ready or just throughout the night whenever I want to put some on. I keep it at my desk for whenever I need it. Whenever I use it, it stays on for a while and leaves my lips feeling soft.
I think for a $1, this lip balm was pretty good.
It's easy to apply, doesn't taste bad, has a subtle smell, and is easy to carry around. The only thing I don't like about it is that I have to put my finger in it which leaves it kinda unsanitary.

I hope you enjoyed this review! If you have any questions, make sure to leave them below.

❄ December Favorites ❄

I can't believe it's already been a week since New Year's Eve! I didn't have time to make this post on New Year's Eve because I ended up taking a nap after my brunch and writing my Christmas post. Here are my favorites from December!

1. Winter Citrus Wreath Gentle Foaming Hand Soap from Bath & Body Works
  • This soap smells like "winter citrus with accents of fresh balsam." I loved the smell of this and thought it fit winter nicely. It was a nice citrusy, outdoors smell.
2. Pumpkin Frost Gentle Foaming Hand Soap from Bath & Body Works
  • This soap smells like "creamy pumpkin wrapped in spiced vanilla." I always would used this soap at my aunt's house and I really liked how it had a soft, cozy smell. I like how it didn't smell too much like spices, but instead was a nice subtle yummy smell.
3. North Face Jackets
  • Since December had some really cold days, I would always throw on my North Face fleece and another jacket on top. With winter break, I've been lazy and when I don't want to layer up, I would just throw on a puffy North Face on. The jackets are just really easy and comfy to wear.
4. Bull Denim Woven Cotton Cities Bag with Strap from American Apparel
  • This is basically my to-go bag. I take it out every time I go out, and it goes with whatever I wear. It's so roomy and fits a lot of things.
5. Tea Tree Special Shampoo from Paul Mitchell
  • I love this shampoo. I haven't had it at my house in years, but for the past few months, I've been using another tea tree shampoo that worked wonderfully. I decided to finally get this one because I can get it for a good price, so I decided why not. I love the smell and tingly feeling it leaves on my scalp.
6. Foxy Lady Shea-infused Socks from Bath & Body Works
  • I usually get a pair of the shea-infsued socks from Bath & Body Works every year. I didn't get one last year, which I was pretty bummed about, haha. I went with my aunt in October to help her pick out candles at the store and I found these socks and had to get them. They are so cute and soft. They are one of my favorite pairs from Bath & Body Works.

I also used this Winnie the Pooh mini notebook and Minnie Mouse pen a lot this month. I use this notebook almost every day to take notes and schedules for myself in. This pen has a very fine tip and it's perfect to write with. I want to find another pen because I don't want the ink to run out, haha.

I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading!

New Year's Eve + New Year's Day

I hope you had a good New Year's Eve and New Year's Day!

On New Year's Eve morning, my boyfriend and I went to get breakfast. I woke up kinda late and took a while to get ready, so by the time we got to the place, it kind of became a brunch. The service was a little slow too so we started eating at lunch time. The lady forgot my bacon, but she gave me 2 extra slices to make up for it. We didn't start eating until I got my bacon, so some of my food got cold.
I got pancakes, two eggs, and bacon. My boyfriend got country fried steak over biscuits, eggs, and a side of potatoes. We always share each other's food, so we got half of what we each ordered. We both agree that my pancakes were fluffy and really good. I wish I ordered both my eggs as scrambled, because the scrambled was really good. The bacon was really good too. My boyfriend's chicken fried steak was really good. I just really love chicken, hehe. The sausage gravy was pretty okay, because I usually don't like it. I really liked his potatoes, because I think breakfast potatoes are really good.

For my New Year's Eve outfit, I wore a purple-ish pink velvet babydoll dress with stockings. I wore my moto jacket on top because it was cold outside that day. I wore my cute, scalloped ankle socks with my black ankle boots. Like usual, I had my American Apparel bag with me.

My boyfriend and I went to my aunt's house for New Year's Eve. The past 3 times, we've spent it with his family, but I wanted to do something different this year. We made nachos and watched Cutthroat kitchen and the NYE special/ball drop. It was really nice just staying in, eating on the sofa.

We took this photo as soon as the ball dropped!

Snapchat had this really cute filter, I used it a lot haha.

On New Year's day, I went up north with my family and boyfriend. I brought my "pastel road trip essentials." My mom's friend that's living in Japan got me a fuzzy baby blue pouch. I love it so much! I also brought my wallet, 3DS XL, cough drops, LUNA mini, strawberry KitKat, aero (2), and strawberry crunch.

After 2 hours, we made it to IKEA, which is a little outside of D.C. We almost eat lunch as soon as we get here.
[I have a younger brother who is autistic, and he doesn't like something about the upstairs of IKEA for some reason. He was freaking out and was loud, but he can't help it, and the family sitting behind us moved. I figured they would, but I started crying because I know their son didn't understand why my brother was making such a loud noise and I just felt bad. I just want to say that if you see someone acting like they shouldn't in public, please the judge them or just stare. It really hurts me when people always just stare and don't look kind or understanding. I hate is so much and I always have. I love my brother, he's my pride and joy and it just makes me so mad when people do that.]

This was our 4th time here together!

We went to BonChon for dinner and the wait for the food is always so long.

The food finally came and after one piece, I wasn't really craving it anymore, but I was craving mango froyo. They make my favorite froyo and it was so good. They give you so much for only a small.

I hope you all had a good New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! I'd love to hear about it below.
